Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your AastroAstra account, published by AVD Studiox, and what happens to the information held with it. Deleting the account is permanent: your charts, saved profiles and readings cannot be recovered afterwards.

How to request deletion

1. Email aastroastra@gmail.com from any address, with the subject Delete my account.
2. Include the phone number or email address you sign in with. We need it to find the account, and we use it only to identify you for this request.
3. We reply to confirm it is you before deleting anything, so that nobody else can delete your account by guessing your number.
4. Once confirmed, the account and the data listed below are deleted within 30 days. We email you when it is done.

You can also delete individual things yourself at any time, without deleting the account: remove a saved profile from the profile list, or delete a palm or face reading from the reading itself, which removes the reading and the measurements taken from it.

What is deleted

• Your account and sign-in identity (phone number or email address).
• Your name, date, time and place of birth.
• Every saved profile you created, including profiles you added for other people.
• Palm and face readings, and the measurements derived from them.
• Your chat history with the AI astrologer.
• Saved match and multi-match results, and any cached chart data held against your account.
• Notification preferences and the device registration used to send them.

Photographs taken for a palm or face reading are never part of this, because they are never stored in the first place: the photo is analysed on request and discarded immediately, and only the resulting measurements are kept. Deleting a reading, or your account, removes those measurements too.

What is kept, and for how long

• Records we are required to keep. If you ever make a purchase, the transaction record is retained for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires, currently up to eight financial years. This record is kept for compliance only and is not used to contact you or to build a profile of you.
• Backups. Deleted data can persist in encrypted database backups for up to 30 further days before those backups expire on their own. It is not accessible in the app during that window and is not used for anything.
• Aggregate counts. Anonymous usage totals, for example how many charts were generated in a month, contain nothing that identifies you and are not linked back to your account after deletion.
